The impact
The Berlin Airlift was considered a large victory for the United States, because they were able to stop the Soviet Union’s plan of holding West Berlin hostage. It also changed the world’s perspective on the Soviet Union, seeing its actions as wrongdoings. The Berlin Airlift also resulted in the NATO forming, and eventually the Warsaw Pact being created. Along with this, the political relations between countries became more divided. Skilled workers began to move from East to West Berlin due to the prosper of West Berlin.
